Description

Òlbia is born on the “Masos d’en Ferran” estate, a small amphitheater facing north. The special geographical location of the estate gives the wine a unique personality. Òlbia is a deep and complex wine, with notes of ripe fruit, white flowers, chamomile and great minerality. It is a wine of very limited production. 75% White Grenache, 25% Viognier, the different varieties are fermented separately. 50% of the grapes are fermented directly in 225-liter French oak barrels and aged for 6 months in the same barrels. The other 50% of the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks where they are aged on fine lees. It is a complex white wine, with aromas of quince, orange, chamomile, candied lemon peel, biscuit, stone fruit and a touch of licorice. In the mouth it is mineral, fruity, dense and fresh, with a creamy texture and a very persistent finish.
