Description
Since the 16th century the Guazzi have been making wine on their ”Bric”, which means hill in piemontese dialect. The 33 hectares of the estate are used to make this noble Barberad’Asti, and benefits from the dry, sunny, and steep terrainof Monferrato, perfectly adapted to grow the Barbera grape variety. This rich textured wine reminds one of dark fruits that have been cooked down, alongside hints of liquorice and vanilla. The wine obtains these qualities by aging for 1 year in French oak and 4 monmths of bottle fining. Its sweet tannins are well integrated with freshness which makes it an absolute joy to pair with game, grilled meats, autumn vegetables and of course porcini mushrooms.
