Description
This wine is made from 100% Tempranillo sourced from vineyards in Pesquera del Duero, La Horra, and century-old vines. It is aged for 15 months in new French oak barrels after a hand-picked harvest. Notes of violets and cherry. Aromas of blackberry, licorice, violet, wicker, sweet spices, pepper, and toffee. Friendly tannins, volume, and a great mid-palate. Extraordinary complexity. To be paired with meats, roast suckling pig and preserves. It goes well with Manchego cheeses.
The estate is situated at 820-850 meters above sea level in the Ribera del Duero region, which allows the berries to fully ripen and improve acidity for perfect bottle development.
