Description
Selected harvest from vines over 70 years old, with low yields, vines with no more than four bunches, and southwest-facing. Fermentation temperature: 30°C. 24 months in oak barrels, 50% French and 50% Russian. Barrel age: 3 years. Bottle age: 12 months. The wine’s appearance shows a maroon cherry color, with a deep robe. Aromatically appealing in its complexity and intensity, with aromas of ripe fruit, licorice, and Mediterranean herbs with a hint of vanilla, it remains perfectly blended with fine wood. Tis wine is very polished on the palate, powerful, fleshy, elegant, and very expressive. At over 14% alcohol, it maintains a delicate freshness with a lingering aftertaste. This Reserva pairs especially well with grilled meats, tipical dishes from the Rioja Alavesa while also lending itself well to chocolate-based desserts.
