Description

Villalar gets its name in homage to the intimate relationship the Monastery of La Mejorada had with the defeat of the Comuneras troops by King Carlos I in the fields of Villalar; upon his orders General Padilla was buried at La Mejorada, and not in Toledo as originally intended by his wife María Pacheco.

Villalar is singular, expresses the characteristics of the terroir of La Mejorada, evolves extraordinarily well over time and exhibits all virtues of the soil, climate, varieties and labour of man. Tempranillo 74% and Cabernet Sauvignon 26%

COLOUR: Brilliant, cherry red, with deep layering
AROMA: Fresh, complex, rich. Once open, it reveals an intensely fruity character of
fresh red cherry. There are also traces of chocolate, minerals with an elegant touch of
toasted, very well integrated oak.
FLAVOUR: Smooth, with a balanced evolution, velvety, with a long persistent aroma, a
fruity final and complex
