Description
Made from ancient grape varieties from a very old vineyard in the Serra de S. Mamede. East-facing, at an altitude of 598 meters. Sandy soil of granitic origin (Ordovician). Yields are very low. We have about 14 different varieties from a massal selection made up to the beginning of the 20th century. We can indicate a varietal dominance made from the following grape varieties: Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir, Tinta de Olho Branco and Castelão. Grapes destemmed and crushed. Wine fermented with indigenous yeasts in a small 2,000-liter vat. Aged for 18 months in old French oak barrels.
